Destination Cover : Mumbai - Aurangabad (Ajanta and Ellora)
DAY 01 : Arrive in Mumbai
On your arrival at the Mumbai airport you will meet with our representative for the Ajanta Ellora tour and will be duly transferred to your hotel. Afterwards, guests will be free to carry out their own activities.
DAY 02 : Mumbai - Aurangabad
This morning on the West India tour after breakfast at hotel guests will be taken for a visit to the Gateway of India, where you can soak in the historical splendor of this place and then to the local markets of Mumbai. In the evening of the Ajanta Ellora Tour guests will leave for Aurangabad. On arrival at Aurangabad for the Buddhism in India tour you will be checked in at the hotel, previously booked by our tour operator.
DAY 03 : At Aurangabad
In the morning on the Buddhist Site tour guests will be taken for a full day sightseeing tour of the Ajanta Caves. The caves comprise of chaitya halls (shrines) or viharas (monasteries) and guests can blissfully divulge in this on the Buddhist monasteries tour. Paintings, scriptures and architecture of the Hinayana sect as well as the Mahayana sect of Buddhism beautify Ajanta caves. It has also been regarded as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. By evening, guests will come back to the hotel where you will be free to relax.
DAY 04 : Aurangabad Sightseeing
In the morning of the Ellora tour, guests will be taken for a sightseeing tour of Ellora Caves which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it represents the three major religions, namely Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. Overall there are 34 monasteries and temples at Ellora, belonging to these religions. Guests will then be taken to Dulatabad Fort and Aurangabad Caves which reveal tantric influences in there and architectural designs style and structure. Later, guests will be taken back to the hotel, where they will retire for the night.
DAY 05 : Aurangabad - Mumbai
In the morning of the Ellora Ajanta Tour, guests will leave for Mumbai and on arrival you will be checked in at hotel, booked by our tour operator. Afterwards, guests will be taken on an enthralling trip to Elephanta caves. These caves are known and renowned for rock cut temples, which go back a long time, to the 5th century. Later, guests will return to the hotel and will be free to carry out their own activities and relax.
DAY 06 : Mumbai
This morning, after breakfast, guests will leave for a sightseeing tour of the city. Guests will visit Juhu Beach, Hanging Gardens and Prince of Wales Museum. In the late evening, all arrangements will be made by our tour operators for guests to facilitate your transfer to the international airport to catch a flight for onward destination.
